Buying, Wearing, Doing (for Paris)
it’s been so long!
I’m (mentally) packing for my trip to Paris.
Although I still have a week to go, I’ve been shopping mostly second hand recently and things tend to go fast. Currently eyeing a good leather coat, fun mini bags, lots of vintage denim, silver jewelry, and subtle prints!
What I’m Buying…
Alaïa Leather Coat - just the perfect everyday essential
Sphere Bag - I’m in such a small bag mood recently; just imagine this hanging off your arm while be-bopping through the city
2009 Chanel Wedges - okay full disclosure, I purchased these… BUT they were just a skosh too small, so I will be returning. Add to your waitlist to be notified!
Saint Laurent Panier Shopper - truly can’t decide if I like her in black or tan more?
Hanalei Bikini Top and Bottom - always been a fan of Monday Swim, not normally a print girl but this is chic
Silver Cuff - my love for silver pops is still going strong (p.s. she’s 40% off rn!)
I’ve also got a little holiday cruise coming up so beachy wear is also on the mind.
Wearing…
With the return of cooler weather, I’ve been scouring through my second hand saves on Poshmark, The Real Real and Vestiaire and pulled the trigger on this men’s London Fog trench that fit’s so perfectly oversize and billowy.
I also popped into my favorite vintage shop in Williamsburg, Chickee’s Vintage, to peruse their trove of vintage Levi’s and came away with the best fitting pair of jeans I’ve ever put on my body!
Currently eyeing this Celine blazer, Haat mock neck tee, and Chanel slacks from their website.
And I grabbed the cutest mini, suede Celine bag off Poshmark for easy carrying in Paris and a haul of Khaite bodysuits and denim from TRR that I had been stalking for a minute!
Doing…
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve already seen this —as I have no sense of chill right now and posted immediately after going — BUT this week my cousin was in town and we popped into Le Crocodile for brunch.
Their omelette au fromage and sticky banana bread pudding almost sent me into a coma but it was entirely worth it. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to take friends/loved one’s or to have a fabulous selection of tea’s, do stop by.
I’ve also been in desperate need of a haircut recently so I stopped by Salon 87 on Tuesday for their headspa treament. My friend and roomate Pamela turned me on to their brain detox treatment via instagram a while ago and when I saw that they also did hair I was sold! Such a lovely salon, the aesthetics were gorgeous and atmosphere was relaxing. They have spa locations in the city as well specifically for spa treatments!
And Last…
I’ll be in Paris the second week of October. For those that are there now, I’m on the lookout for good vintage/thrift recs, amazing cafes and bistros, little galleries and showrooms. Please drop any recs in the comments!
