Slouching Towards Spring
hand made pottery + some pre-spring feels
It’s been two weeks, let’s catch up! —

Since Gaeb and I moved into our new place on the 3rd, the days have been packed with long drives to and fro, hours of Facebook market sourcing and countless trips to the local coffee shop to rest and refuel. Hence, late letter.
I do intend to share the interior design process here however I’ve been taking a more sustainable approach to decorating this place, sourcing pieces second hand and taking my time to intentionally style. So I don’t have much to show yet. But, I have been heavily editing my closet to fit my new environment.

Seattle to me is more earthy, natural, slower. I find myself wanting to sloooow down here, physically and mentally, which has me reaching for softer, more natural pieces to match my internal mood.
I’ve also spent a lot of time working on ‘naturalizing’ my skincare and beauty routine, hence the face brushes and makeup. I feel like the term ‘clean beauty’ is so bastardized as there is no real definition for clean so I’m using natural here as it feels most aligned with my values, which are:
Good for me: non-comedogenic, skin + gut healthy ingredients
Good for the earth: sustainably sourced, shippedand packaged
Quality over quantity: essentially less but better, investing in high quality ingredients and products that truly work
But more on this later…
Basically, I just want everything around me to reflect a sort of natural, almost untouched beauty.
On that note, one thing from the place that I will show you are these bowls. Out of all of the packages I’ve received over the past few weeks, this was the one I was most excited to unbox.
We hosted our first dinner in the space, now that we finally have chairs to go with our dining table (sourced ours via FB Marketplace) and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything fit together.
Next week?

Beautifully put! Totally agree about the natural vibe the PNW requests. I’m here for it!
